The Barraterre Bonefish
Lodge is just 50 ft. from the water and the dock where your guide will
meet you each day. Barraterre has six comfortable, air conditioned, ocean
view rooms. The rooms are nicely appointed and each has two twin beds for
a wondeful, relaxing nights sleep, a full bath with tub, large dressers,
spacious closets and convenient lighted night stands. All guest rooms have
27” color televisions with Direct TV® access. Daily maid service is

Water on the island
is not suitable for drinking unless sealed and bottled. For your safety
please only consume the water at the club and in bottles in your room.
The air conditioned
downstairs lounge overlooks the water and features an attached 1000 sq.
ft. screened in porch to unwind after a day on the water. Perhaps choose
to tie a fly or two at one of the fly tying tables, watch TV on our wide-screen
TV or just relax on one of our 3 large couches with an ice-cold drink from
our full service cash bar. Make yourself at home, relax enjoy the sunset
or walk to a sandy beach just minutes from the lodge.
Meals at Barraterre
Bonefish Lodge are hearty and well prepared. Breakfasts normally consist
of eggs, pancakes, Barraterre style french toast, bacon or sausage with
potatoes and tea or coffee or perhaps waking up to Eggs Benedict gets your
attention, just ask! Lunch is normally served while fishing and include
sandwiches with either ham, tuna fish or turkey served on home baked bread.
(Normally cut rather large!). Dinner features local Bahamian and “original”
Barraterre dishes. You can expect Conch salad, conch fritters along with
a variety of freshly caught fish each day The lodge also serves chicken,
chops, steak and lobster depending on the season. Our desserts are what
legends are made of …. enjoy!
If you have any special
dietary or additional requests which include requests for salads, vegetables
and fruit please notify us well in advance and Barraterre will try to have
them available during your stay.
Additional local
activities include access to the facilities of the newly constructed Four
Seasons Hotel & Casino just 9 miles away, featuring a full function
spa, a European-style casino and entertainment area, a conference center,
a tennis and health club, and an professional 18-hole, Greg Norman signature
golf course.. Sailing, diving and snorkeling can also be arranged
Another local attraction
would be a visit to the Georgetown “straw market”. A huge African fig tree
in the middle of George Town shades the straw market, where a variety of
island-made crafts are sold.
